OP, these feelings come because you are not satisfied with your current life.
The question is, are you going to accept your feelings of discontent or are you going to do something about it and change your future?
Don't "try" to save anything.
Let things work out naturally on their own.
If it was meant to be, the relationship will go on otherwise it won't.
Don't "force" anything.
When you're feeling extremely lonely, find an activity to distract your mind from the feeling of loneliness.
Some things that could help:
- Pursue a hobby or passion
- Watch a TV series on Netflix
- Watch some movies
- Get a job
OP just remember that you can't do anything to change your past.
You can sit there and cry / complain all you want.
It doesn't change anything.
If you want to change things, think about how you can change your future!
People need certain things at different stages in life.
You may not need a relationship, love, or affection right now.
But you may desire/conquest it some day in the future.
Things change over time including one's desires.
You are trying to play the "socialize and make friends game" wrong.
You are many levels behind that average/normal person therefore you have a lot of catching up to do.
Furthermore, you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket. Don't just focus on one relationship.
