I am a gay older white male, a loner with somewhat conservative values. I'm also easygoing and interested in other's points of view At age 17 (in the 70's) I prepared for the worst, told the family my big secret (about my sexuality), and promptly received the worst for the next 3 decades. A few years ago I read about the minimalist movement and slowly donated, trashed or sold just about everything I owned. In life, I tend to appreciate the inexpensive, precious little things -- conversation; the smell and taste of fresh coffee; the color green; or a nighttime Fall walk through the crunchy leaves with someone I really like a lot.
