There is that well known English proverb: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I mean don't even think about Saturday until it happens, otherwise you get your hopes up or talk yourself out of it.

Think of it this way. I'm a bit over half your age and have NOTHING going on Saturday haha!

You've done well so far and I don't think this much effort would have been exerted by all parties involved if there wasn't some sort of potential.

It was my first day back at work today after a week off. A couple of customers asked me for help and I looked at them and thought 'is that her ?' - daft really when you think about it.

I do question myself. Am I doing too little ? Too much ? Am I making the right decision ?

It's natural to question yourself that much just don't let it get out of hand and occupy your thoughts the entire day.

I'm okay, got a few things on my mind at the moment !

Well it's supposed to happen tommorrow. Not heard from her in a couple of days, can't see her turning up to be honest. But since this had happened all my life, I'm used to it. Got to soldier on, as they say !

I left her a message on her facebook - 'speak to you, tommorrow' - she answered it.

So it's on.

You're a smooth operator Putter...haha

Not really :)

I just suffer from pre event nerves. I have 2 things on the go at the moment. A golf game with my female friend and this woman coming into my shop tommorrow. This afternoon I got in such a bad mood, thinking neither were going to happen. I worked with the golf lady today and she wasn't in a great mood so we didn't talk much. Anyway, I cheered myself up a bit and spoke to her about golf, just idle chit and chat and basically said 'if you ever have a day off, let me know and we can have a game' - so when I left, I said 'bye' to her and she arranged a game for Monday - so pleased about that !

Got home, looked on facebook, didn't see anything from the other woman, wondered whether I should bother and finally decided to, so I left the message 'speak to you, tommorrow, hopefully' - she replied 'speak to you, tommorrow' - god knows what will happen or what she will think when she see's what I look like !

Good for you, mate. Hope it all goes well. It must be exciting. I hate appearing in photos as well and avoid them every time.

It went well enough, could have been alot worse I suppose. She's nice, very attractive and well dressed. She was a bit quiet and it was me who did all the talking. I asked her a few things, how she was, what she was doing for the rest of the day.

I've just sent a message saying how nice it was to meet her. She replied. I sent her a message back mentioning going for coffee.

It's turned to a night out next Saturday. I'll let her decide where, either cinema or a meal. :)

Did you two end up getting together or did it get moved to Saturday before you met?

Not really sure what you mean.

But she came into my shop on Saturday to see me and we had a little chat. And we are (upto now) going out next Saturday.

You answered the question. I was curious as to whether she made the plans in person or over some technological medium.

Congratulations that's great!

No, in the shop we just chatted. Said 'hello' , I asked her a few questions. When I got home, I sent her a message on facebook 'nice to meet you, blah, blah. She replied. I then sent her another one saying 'we will have to have a coffee sometime' - in which I thought she wouldn't reply but she did.
