For those that have abandonment issues. Do you separate Friendships and Relationships? Or better yet, what is the difference to you of a friendship and a relationship? Do you feel friendship lasts longer then a relationship, or that a relationship lasts longer then a friendship? Most of my issues with abandonment have been related to friendship. Them leaving me and even me leaving them. Ive had relationships end, but it ended in my favor or mutually. Where my friendships ended abruptly without reason. Because of legal documents like marriage, emphasis on engagements and intimacy, I think a relationship would last longer. A friendship can be binding with circumstances such as sharing finances and supporting each other, but it lacks a togetherness that comes from family and soon to be family.

HA!

Seriously though, can you demarcate your idea of relationship? I'm not sure what you mean. To me a friendship is a type of relationship.
