I get a few every now and then from my company as a great deal of email passes through my oversight, but this one today made me chuckle the most. Somehow, it just felt so incongruous with everything else professional.

We have received the following request: A Ms. Schilling found a blackberry from Mitsui company, she said the person who found is a very older woman and she is very poor, she would like to know if we can give her any money for the blackberry as a reward.

Please remotely wipe the device and confirm the serial number of the device, and check if any improper tampering has been done with the BB; deliver it to the security department asap. Any loose or unaccounted material may be a wiretapping device.

I love how the reply has almost nothing to do with the question, although why anyone is asking the head of security to handle reward matters is also beyond me.
