Haven't noticed this question being asked, if anyone has I apologize for stepping on your toes.

What kind of mischief or merriment are you doing?

Seeing as how the lake across the road hasn't froze yet (typically has a couple of feet of ice on it) I've decided to do a polar swim (at least a full immersion dip). The nine year old says she's in with conditions of 1). A huge bonfire, and 2). Hot cocoa, lots of it (mine will most likely be "enhanced"- any suggestions for that Mouse?).

My posts on New Years Day will most likely be high-pitched.

A polar dip....... butt naked no doubt .... sounds like a plan to me! I'm in! (:)
Just need a couple bottles of VERDI and you be set!

Sounds like you will be having a blast! (:)

Going to go watch the fireworks they're setting up. Supposedly going to be a big show, and I need something to take my mind off things.

Any New Year Plans?

None, whatsoever - I will probably read a book, drink water, and go to bed before midnight.:(

(Having trouble sleeping tonight which is a rarity.)

I'm envious of you if you can sleep on New Year's. Around here, we have this godawful racket from sundown to sunup. Some persistent buggers go as far as 3AM with their fetish for blowing stuff up. :p

A 'polar swim'... 'full immersion'? Oh my! I sincerely hope your family jewels are warmly wrapped! xD Hot cocoa sounds wonderful - anytime actually - but a blazing great bonny sounds great. Put some foil wrapped spuds into the ash so a few hours later they'll be cooked. Perfect to soak up any alc. ;)

Liking all things jolly I'm a natural party mouse, and this New Year's my family are having is going to be slightly scary because it's a business bash and they're inviting actors and the like of which float in higher la-di-dah circles than I'm used to. I shall don something elegant, paste on a smile and say the sort of things that one is expected. Champagne shall no doubt flow, alright for some but I think it's highly overrated. Might seek out a bottle of fine white Meursault and sneak off somewhere. As for the morning after, it can take care of itself.

Usual Saturday night alone, watch soccer, a few beers and probably a film. Text messages to some friends, nothing special.

Not a big fan of NYE to be honest.

Unfortunately I'll be doing jack honeysuckle.

Edit: I'll more than likely buy a bottle of Russki Standard, but I'll be more careful this time as the last time I downed the whole bottle in a short time. The morning after I woke up on the floor, and was rather worried about how drunk I got.

No problem passage, the secret of that night is safe with me.

Idle question- have you seen "Hangover II" yet?;)

I might have spoken to soon.

As soon as daylight went away, people have been blowing stuff up for the past thirty minutes and it is only 18:00 EST.

My dogs have barked consistently for the last thirty minutes.
