Hi to everyone on this site, thought i would give it a whirl, after reading some of the threads, you all seem like a friendly bunch.
So here goes, im a 46 year old male with a good job, and two months ago, my girlfriend of 7 years, decided her feelings had changed, no warnings, very subtle indicators , but nothing i thought was major.
I have had to move away, and am now renting a house some miles away, to be near my family.
Dealing with the break up, crippled me , as i thought we would be together forever. I built my life with her, neighbours were friends and good social life.
Whilst i have my family, and still keep in touch with a few of our old friends, and starting to make new friends, i cant help feeling a desperate sense of loneliness, and isolation, away from the life i had.

So thats my situation, and a big hello..

Hi and welcome :)

Sometimes a change can be a good thing. It's not easy staying in the same place after a breakup.

Thanks Callie,
I had the option of renting in the same town, but decided that it was too close.
I was a wreck for about three weeks, but im slowly pulling myself around.
I try to keep active, but as soon as i stop, the isolation, and sadness, and lonelyness creeps back.
.

It took me well over a year to get past it when my last relationship ended.
Time does seem to heal all, but man does it SUCK in the interim.

Welcome to the forum and I hope you can find a little something helpful here.
