Christmas and the holiday season is upon us. I try to get away from all the commercialization of it and focus on the true meaning of the season. For me thats about love for our fellow human beings. I feel like sometimes we get so caught up in our own struggles its easy to forget those out there who are struggling to take their next breath or where their next meal is coming from, how to get off drugs so they can actually see their kids again.

Theres a lot of pain in the world, fact of life. The good news is, we live in a world now where were connected and can use that to help one another.

This website is dedicated to finding charities that help with different things.

This is not asking you to spend your life savings. Its just maybe take a minute and if you have a few spare bucks youre not using send it toward a charity of your choice and help somebody.Even if that somebody has a tail and walks on all fours lol.

They may never know who you are but youll have the knowledge of knowing that you helped somebody whos in need. Also if you dont have money and you still want to help look in around your town theres just about always a homeless shelter or somewhere you can go volunteer and theyd be thankful for you stopping by.

To me thats what christmas is truly about, love and kindness and compassion.

Regardless of whether you give or dont give or do it in your own ways amongst your families i wish you all the best this holiday season.

God bless and keep you and hope you have a wonderful new year :)

Good stuff.

I'd like to some day give a struggling family "a Christmas." No doubt, that would be the best Christmas ever...

I do know. I'd rather be giving back in some way instead of psychotically focusing on my career and education. When I say psychotically, I mean all-consuming for years...

Your post inspired me to volunteer myself, I will be on a stand collecting books that will go to the poor children of my village today. :D

I'm throwing myself into the cold sea water on 1st Jan(Loony Dook) & I figured I might as well raise some cash for a good cause whilst I'm about it-I took a rest from charity fundraising this past year & feel the time has come to get started with it once again.

Would there be any objections to me sharing my fundraising page on here?

Hey thats great yall, i hope it goes good for you, and Alma i hope you dont catch pneumonia from that lol. As far as the fundraising thing if youre asking me i think thatd be great, i dont know what the admins think about it but surely they wouldnt mind since its to help people.
