Anyone here like Depeche Mode? Id so why? Whats your fave album/song and why?

I like their sound, but sadly I know too little of them. Of what I know: I love 'Dreaming of Me' (that wonderful 80's sound) and of course 'Enjoy The Silence'!

On a karaoke site I did a duet version of 'Precious' once, hehe.

I think I would like lots of their stuff if only I were to discover more of it, I love that kind of sound but I do prefer my music to be more melancholic.

You need to listen to the albums "Music For the Masses" and "Songs of faith and devotion". It's pretty dark stuff. But the song "Nothings Impossible" really ******* depresses me I cant listen to that one it takes me a week to snap out of it.

Yes. But it its not just their melancholy lyrics, there are the layers and layers of weirdness that go on in their songs. I spent many times in London on rainy misty nights listening to them. They provided a soundtrack to my lonely life.
