Nobody eats insects, frog's legs, or something really crazy?

Sometimes I put cut up cabbage in rolled up flour tortillas with some salsa and then fry them. That's a little strange.

Carrot Juice with ginger this morning on an empty stomach… its burning my tummy 🥺 but i loveee it 😅 burn them fat cells!

bah...

"Strange" foods i've eaten once in no particular order;
1) Claypot Kung Pao Frog legs (tastes like chimkin)
2) Bird's Nest soup (bird nest made from swiftlet saliva)
3) Century Egg (google it!)
4) Tempe (fermented soybeans, google it!)
5) Goat Brain Masala

Unless someone here has eaten lutefisk or something similar, I guess I win this thread :LOL:😝

I tried it once, it has a very strong smell. I don't like it actually. It's probably an acquired taste.
The only thing from the list that I like and still eat from time to time is Tempeh. It's vegan. When it's pan fried, it's quite crunchy and taste kinda like peanut. Tastes good too when added into a vegetable curry.

I’ve ran into people not from southern or mid-southwest USA that have never heard of or think okra is a weed, not edible or gross. Hot (spicy) pickled okra is an amazing snack, so is breaded & fried fresh okra. Both are a wonderful dipping agent for Ranch dressing. It’s good stewed in gumbos. I can’t imagine eating it raw, because of the slime inside (that disappears once cooked or pickled) but I’m sure some folks do.

Being a Brit, I quite like a bit of black pudding on occasion... I have seen videos of American tourists in the UK absolutely recoiling in disgust at the idea of what is essentially 'blood pudding.' When I was a kid we used to go the beach and collect 'winkles' which are like tiny weeny sea snails... we would then go home, boil them up, and eat them with a pin.... the thought absolutely disgusts me now..!
