My GF can't deal with the hiccups worth a damn...

My solution is to kiss her for long enough that there is no room for them, and thus far it has worked.

Sadly she has decided to go home in another state, for probably forever... so when I talk to her and hear she has hiccups, nothing cures her.

Now I have hiccups, but the real secret to beating them is holding your breath... Don't tell her I said that though...

Works for me every time...

Fight it for control. I find that holding my breath usually works, if not, do you happen to have a cozy that will kiss you passionately and longingly?

Normally, I can will them away. But this was two weeks straight... might even have been in my sleep. I'm sure tons of people would kiss me, but I'd beat them senseless.

Usually, drinking a full glass of water works for me. Hiccups are just your body's way of resyncing your breathing with your brain's oxygen needs...so basically anything that pauses your breathing for over a minute or so is going to do the trick...

..unless it's a misfire in your brain, in which case the hiccups could potentially last for years if you decide not to see the doc about it.

Either way, it's fixable. :)

yea holding my breath works for me. i usually hold it for random amounts of time while drinking water in the middle. i think it makes my body get back on the right breathing pattern or something weird and technial like that. or i could just be crazy.
