Want to talk one to one with other people, but feel uncomfortable about being the first one to say "Hello, I'm..." ? Just curious, really... I've found myself a few times wondering "Should I say hello?" or "Maybe it's not the right time to bother them..."

Does anyone else feel the same way? I hope not, but hey lol :club:

I was thinking about something similar.

I've contacted a few people, some have given me polite but short responses that give me the impression they don't particularly want to talk to me, some have responded a few times then stopped, but a few have continued to contact me and have developed into what I consider genuine friendships.

So I so go for it. Not everyone will become a lifelong friend, but maybe if just one person does it'll all be worth it.

Yeah, I know what you mean... I never usually throw myself out there, but I did so today, and ended up having a six hour conversation with someone which was actually quite nice.

I don't want anyone to ever feel like they're not welcome to talk to me, y'know? I hope others feel the same

It can be scary to make the first move but I would say you should try. At least you'll always know you made the effort.

Friendship are definitely out there and on here! Take them.

I don't really talk to anyone here on a one to one basis. I just answer the posts and play the games. I suppose there are times when I wouldn't mind it, but I'm busy a lot of the time and closer contact requires more effort on my part.

I'm also not a very interesting guy when it comes down to it...
