I'm always surprised to see so many college/university students here

I would have thought that in such a vibrant, communal environment loneliness would be rare.

However, I guess as the old cliche goes, the loneliest place can be in a crowded room.

You would think so since being around people seems to be a necessary step in meeting people.
Still i recall hitting both extremes during that time. Part of the time probably was the most socially active that i have ever been but towards the end the closest that i had to any type social activity was walking to where the river was forested and watching the beavers build their dams.

I am not friends with anybody doing my course, we get along, have a laugh, but at the end of the day we don't mean anything to each other.

This can be a disheartening thing, considering I genuinely admire and like them. I find this is how a lot of my social engagements are.

This time around there are people i will talk with, spend some time with at school but at the end of the day we head off to our separate worlds that have no connection to each other.

my campus is vibrant and all that, and I have met some awesome peeps there.

still, my heart is lonely for the love of a good girl ;). something even a close friend can't satisfy. (unless they are a friend with 'benefits' lol. but I don't swing like that.)
