I'm proud of my country because it's got a fantastic health service , are you?

No, our healthcare system is abysmal - brutal, cold, Darwinian. Shameful.

I was proud of my country because I thought we cared about providing a better standard of living for our citizens, because I thought our leaders actually cared about a job well done and wanted to sign their names to something that history would remember well, like a great artist signs their name to a painting.

I thought they were in it for something deeper than just the money.

I used to think America was #1 because I thought we were more enlightened and humane than dictatorship countries.

And I still believe in what we have been before, that I feel we should be, and could be again.

But I haven't been too proud lately.
I'm proud of the American (and Western, in general) ideals - not so much the reality.

Sorry, I answered that as a regular question instead of as part of game thread.

I guess mine would be,
are you proud of the standard of living for the average citizen of your country?

it's the only nation-country that preserved the name of the Roman Empire in a history of perpetual waves of migrations and invasions at the frontier of the European civilization .. also in the modern era the state created at the end of the first world war stood the test of time and never was in danger to break up from within

I'm proud that my country is a melting pot of so many different cultures.

What's something you wish people knew about yours? I don't know enough to make a suggestion, sorry.

I'm not proud of my country and I don't identify as German, however I AM proud of our recycling system which results in the highest recycling rate in the world.

I'd be more proud of my country if it didn't go downhill the way it has lately. But, Trump's back in office, so things should start looking up a bit.
