I have been thinking that it is a lot better to be alone, rather than to be with someone,it is a lot less heartache to be alone in life, people can be so heartless, what do you think about being alone?

It ultimately depends on if you are comfortable being alone. I would rather be alone than be in my last serious relationship, but several years later, I kind of miss some aspects of having a relationship. Someone to come home to, someone to help you, someone to care about you....

I'm perfectly okay being alone. I choose to be alone, but if my "soul mate" or whatever you want to call it knocked on my door, I don't know if I would tell him to **** off. It's the good parts of relationships that you miss, not the bad parts.

very true,I can understand that,I have been hurt by a lot of guys and I'm just tired of getting hurt.

I got tired of putting in all the effort to get to really know someone, having a relationship with them, and then realizing it won't work out.

I used to think it would be great to have an arranged marriage where you have to stay together and work things out no matter what. But, then I realized everybody is nuts. So, it's better to stay alone. Ha! ha!

The problem is I still really find women attractive. So, my mind / hormones makes me think a healthy relationship is still possible. Why can't the perfect person for me just show up and say, "Hi, it's me!" Then I would be totally willing to make all kinds of effort.
