Life in an instance. The universe is a lonely place... None of us matter in the grand scheme of things.
We do however, as a species, try and make this world more enjoyable for ourselves and our fellow man and woman.
There is only one real scientific point to living and dying. Nature says the cycle of life must go on.
If we were not concious we would just reproduce without a thought, but, because we are concious and can effectively go against our instincts, we can choose not to if we wish.
The human race are aware of their emotions and instincts. What we can all agree on as a species is that having someone to live life with, and share things with, is a good thing. We are ofcourse social animals afterall.
So considering we may choose not to reproduce or others not reproduce with us, what is our actual main logical purpose as an individual entity?
I think it is finding someone to be with and share life's experience with... That in my opinion is the biggest point on the map to an individual biological entities life.
