For example my friend say to my friend that he has the biggest head ever and they guy laugh, but when i say the same week later dude starts calling me names and he get hostile and it ruins our fun. This is just a shallow example.. I can't quite remember anything else right now but people just don't accept me joking on their account while they let others do so. And it's not that i joke all the time but sometimes i simply find it natural to joke about someone.

It could be a number of reasons. Do your friends know him? If not it could be this, he may feel more comfortable being hostile towards you.

If a guy thinks he's mentally or physically stronger than the other, he'll tend to use this as a threat (Most guys do this. Sad, I know).

I think it's in the nature of some friendships... they know each other well enough that they can take it in stride and be playful.

I don't know about mental strength but phisically i am superior to most of people i hang with, i am gym man and i am the tallest. This is problem is following me forever and it's not only around same people, even my closest friend i know for ages get hostile towards me when i joke about him. Well i crack jokes and all that people laugh and we are having fun but when ever i mention something on someones account even as a pure joke they don't get it as a joke they usually get mad. I think that problem is actually in my behavior that i can't figure out, i wish i had an answer!

Do you smile when you say it? Is it obvious to others that you mean it as a joke or do they think that you mean it? I know someone who jokes with a straight face and I often feel off balance with him as I can't be sure if he is joking or serious.

I do smile and if it's really funny i say it in a laughter. It takes me like one joke or a silly thing to say to make all of them laugh but whenever its about someone it's just not funny for them and it just ruins my connection with the guy i joked about. I never joke about their problems or such i just mention the things that they did and were funny. WEIRD!!! I know the problem is in me!
