I would like to make this thread a place where people can respond and read awesome stories.
Could you guys please post the most amazing or funniest moment that happened to you today. This is a feel good space; or if you really feel like pouring your heart out, you could write about a life changing event. Something that happened that influenced your life in a positive way. I think it's awesome to read another person's story as it can be inspiring and uplifting

Was a while back, but still something that changed me.

Almost the entire time I was in high school, it was awful for me. I was the lonely kid, sitting in a corner while I saw everyone else talking to their friends. My self-esteem was not very good, people would often make fun of me, and I hated the person I was, calling myself useless or unwanted. Though I'm not sure, at some point it might have reached the point of depression Eventually, in grade 12, I decided to give my high school's musical a go as one last shot at getting something good out of the place. Of course, it started out awkward, but in time, people started talking to me more. In time, I actually made a small circle of friends. It turns out, I found out I could act, and pretty well. After a few rehearsals, everything skyrocketed. I gained confidence, some friends, and even picked up a few social skills.

Now, I'm in university. I still get the occasional feeling of loneliness from time to time, and I do still consider myself a burden to my friends, but it's much better than it was years ago.

That's great that your confidence has improved so much, i love your story and how you gained confidence through theater. Thanks
