Further meetups, I've been to Comic Con (and Cosplayed so that was a massive step forward with my Social Anxiety - people wanting their photo with me because I went as Reno from Final Fantasy 7) I've been to Botanical Gardens, Museums, bars and clubs, markets and even a chocolate festival!

I've now branched out from the Social Anxiety group to a mainstream one, where I have been to a French restaurant, and am down to do a torchlight walk, rock climbing and volunteering to help the homeless in 2016.

Meetup rocks! :D

That's awesome it's going well for you, h3donist! That picture is a must-share. :p

It's so cool you're volunteering to help the homeless next year. I've been considering if I should take up something like that next year too. Do something different to help other people. Sounds pretty awesome.

Thank you :)

Unfortunately the homeless thing didn't take off but I'm still in the group so hopefully will get to help at some point.

Going indoor climbing tonight, then several coffee and meal meetups, going to see Deadpool and Comic Con Midlands too! :D

ok, I have posted previously on the subject of meetup about it being awkward and potentially a challenging experience if you happen to be rejected among the group of any event (it happens)

However I will give meetup a thumbs up because nearly all my socialising is now derived from these events.

Without meetup I would struggle to do anything on the weekend and the times when my weekend has been completely lacking social interaction it is due to not attending some kind of meetup.

Even the worst experiences I've had on meetup compare favourably to feeling suicidal/hopelessly alone in my flat.

I'm glad it seems to be working out for you h3donist, hopefully myself/others get similar luck.

I hope so too, good luck :)

My confidence must have improved a lot because I wore makeup to a club for the first time and loved every second :D
