My fan history of Metroid (Prime, Echoes, Corruption, Trilogy.)

Hey everyone! I recently got the Metroid Prime Trilogy Pack for Wii! I'm a longtime fan of the Prime series; I completed the original Metroid Prime on the Nintendo Gamecube. I've also played Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, for the cube to near 75% completion. This was because I was only renting the game and did not finish it in time. I did not rent the game again.

Eventually I purchased Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Nintendo Wii. I only finished about 50% of its content before I sold the game to someone else. Now, the Trilogy Pack is out with updated Wii controls for the previous two titles of the series. A copy of this wonderfully packaged game (It comes in a metal case.) is now mine. :D

I am currently playing the first entry into the series on my new Trilogy disk.

Review of the Trilogy version of the original Metroid Prime so far.

I loved the first version of this game on Gamecube! Revisiting this one is very enjoyable, especially with the new Wii remote assisted aiming. The visuals get a little dark down some tunnels and rooms, so you may need to turn the brightness of your tv up. Be careful turning it up too high on some tv's.

The game also uses the currency system from Metroid Prime 3 to unlock extra galleries and content for the game. You are awarded currency for defeating bosses, scanning logbook data, and possibly other means.

Metroid: Other M

This is the newest announced Metroid game. I have only just come upon this link.

Well I guess for the Trilogy version the difficulty of some MP2 boss fights was lowered after several complaints in reviews.

Hmmm...I can't play Trilogy, either...for the moment I'm sort of stuck on choosing between PS3/XBOX360 as my next console. I don't really like the Wii.

Fair enough. :) If you ever get a wii, or a chance to play, I highly recommend the Trilogy Pack.
