I guess you can call them that.

Whenever I get a new Laptop or Phone, I become OBSESSED with keeping them clean. I wipe both the Phone and Laptop Keyboard very very often. Even now, I am checking my Lappy's Keyboard every 5 minutes and then wiping it. I even have the laptops plastic wrapping around the screen still on. I've had this Laptop for like 5 weeks.

That isn't all either. I have a strange habbit of wiping coins sometimes. Not all coins though. Only rare ones. I have about 15 50p Pieces which i have collected over time. Every time I handle them (to show people because I'm cool like that) I wipe them and wipe them lol.

Edit: That's not to mention the things I do when I buy new clothes. I simply can't wear them much. For ages I wear the new clothes only for special occasions. I have a pair of trainers which look brand new. But in fact I have had them for 2 years. I just refused to wear them often x]

I call this Mini OCD's but maybe you can describe them better. My primary question is; Do you have any of these so called Mini OCD's? Things that you just can't help but do from time to time?

That's okay, I have WEIRD symptoms of OCD. My handwriting has to be a certain way. If I'm writing an essay (in pen) and if I write the letter "A" a certain way that looks a little weird, I will ball the who essay up (even of I'm on the last sentence) and rewrite it because of that one letter. That's just one example.

I always think I'd like to marry a woman obsessed with cleaning the house and cooking (like Monica from 'Friends') so then I wouldn't have to do those things :p I hate them. Well cooking not much but cleaning yes.

I don't think a need to keep a new possession looking new is so much an OCD. I kept the clear wrapping on my kindle for six months since the day I got it. There is a nice feeling when you get something new. For the first few weeks (or months), it's only natural to want to preserve its condition. It doesn't look so great when it's all old and beat up, does it? It doesn't feel as special. If you were trying to keep it pristine in such a manner similar to a housewife who does not allow anyone to walk on her carpets or sit on her furniture for fear of getting them dirty several years after you purchased it, that would probably be a different story.

A nervous habit I have is that when I send emails, texts, IMs, make posts here or on my blog, or even send in essays, applications, and cover letters, I read the entire thing no less than three times to make sure there are no mistakes. Then I read it one more time to make sure the point I am trying to make is clear, concise, and correct. Then, once I've hit the "submit," "send," or "post" button, I read it two or three more times. Sometimes I go back and edit it if I think I can word a sentence better or something like that. Then I read it a few more times, refresh, and read it again before finally moving on. If it's an essay or application I'm sending, I open up the original in Word and read it several times even after having already sent it.

Then occasionally I'll be cleaning out my files and come across something I sent a while ago but don't need anymore. I'll open it and read it anyway, then mentally kick myself for not having worded something better or included some reference or supporting detail.

Sometimes I'll save the file and repeat the process at a later date. Other times, I delete it.

Basically, I go through this whole rigmarole to make sure I don't make an ass out of myself when communicating with others.
