A couple of women have caught my eye in the last few weeks. (If you find this boring, please don't read anymore !)

Both of them are customers. It's one of the perks of my job, talking to women customers. Best part about it sometimes.

I don't know much about either of them. One of them as a teenage daughter. We have had conversations. I know she goes to college. She is about my age, not much to look at but that hardly seems to matter these days. I know I am nothing much to look at either. She seems a nice person. No ring on her finger and from our conversations, she sounds single.

The second one is a quiet woman. She spoke to me just before Easter. She seems extremely lonely. I've never seen her with anybody in the shop or talk to anybody. I feel sorry for people like this. She came in today and we spoke a bit. She seems to be making an effort, trying to have a conversation with me. I did notice she started blushing. I wished her a nice day.

I think asking either of these out while I am at work could be a problem though. It's always busy and people would hear. If I met them outside of work then I could say something.

It's good to be able to focus on somebody new for a change.

I know what you mean, I get a lot of women through where I work too. Some of them even chat for awhile. Sometimes you'd like to talk to them a bit more personally. The odds of seeing them outside of work are nil, except for this girl that was in where I work yesterday. You wouldn't miss her. She wears fake flowers in her hair and bright colours. Today when she stopped in to get back her deposit she was wearing a neon yellow top and purple jeans, and she wears a bit too much perfume. lol

Maybe just write your number on a napkin.

its agressive passive....

but itll leave no doupt in her mind that your interested.
Simple and direct to the piont without cuasing a
scene...

its whar you call..being slide or slick.lol

I walk to work so I guess I could bump into one of them. It would be blind luck though.

That could work lol !

I always hand over receipts if they pay by card. I could write my name, a little note and my number on a piece of paper and just hand it over with her stuff.

It sounds risky though !

Depends on if the business you work for frowns on fraternizing with customers. One complaint and you could wind up in a sexual harassment seminar. My boss probably wouldn't care, as long as I wasn't whipping it out on the counter and asking them if they like what they see. ROFL!!

lol

I work in a small grocery shop. Really big firm, one of the big four supermarket chains !

They like us talking to the customers, it's part of our job. One of the lasses once asked a customer out, right there at the till. There were no problems. (If I remember, he went to her house a few days later and shagged her ! - she was a bit of a tart !). There was this other woman who did the same, she was always handing her number out to blokes she liked the look of.

There is the problem of the women complaining to my Manager. I don't think he would sack me though.

Yep.

Too much hope on a single girl... no good (specially if unsure she likes you back).

I've learned that the hard way :p

She came into the shop this morning. She wandered around for 5 minutes. She never glanced or looked at me so I don't think I'm on her radar. When I served her I talked to her a bit and she smiled. I don't know anything about her though. For all I know she could have a partner and 6 kids. She buys those little bottles of wine. She bought 3 yesterday and 3 today. She seems a bit of a piss head. lol !

I think the other one is probably nicer. I know she doesn't drink, she told me. Never saw her today though !

I had my chance today. I was walking to work and who comes the other way along the pavement; the first woman. She was talking to this other woman. I walked right past her, only a few feet away. I kept glancing at her expecting her to say 'hi' or something. She just walked by.

Maybe she didn't recogonize me, I had a cap on and wasn't wearing my glasses.

Anyway I got into work and there was this big bunch of flowers in the canteen. It was for this other woman I have mentioned on here. Woman B I called her. Some bloke had sent her some flowers and she was fussy as hell about it. So I was drinking my coffee while aload of women were going nuts about some flowers.

It's a good job I don't really give a **** about these women.

While I was on the till serving, this teenager decided to make fun of me by impersonating my speaking voice. I knew what he was doing, he was putting on a boring, dull, flat voice when I asked him questions. I used to get this all the time by the way, people mocking me, basically making my life hell. I look like I do and I sound like I do and some people think it's funny to mock me because of it.

That's terrible behaviour on his part! :(

I'd have told him to shut it before he lost his teeth personally. If he complained to the manager and I got fired, it'd be a small price to pay to end that sort of petty abuse.

But that's just me! I got sick of that sort of treatment long ago.

I hope you find a nice lady that shows a genuine interest in you :)

Thanks but I pretty much forgot about it. About 50 people smiled at me and said 'hi' - so best to think about them.

It's not as bad as it was when I was in my 20's. I got bullied at work by teenage yobs so much I had to walk around in a disguise and they had to move me to another shop for my own protection. Horrible times !

Ugh I know how that feels.

I think the title of this thread sums up these 2 women. Crap !

I don't think either are worth bothering with. Moving on.
