Newbie welcome

Hi all,

I'm a 39 year old Brit, living in France, going through a divorce.

My wife has left France with my daughter (I haven't seen since September 2010). I keep up, or at least try to, a facade that all is ok. But the reality is that inside I'm in bits. It was my choice to leave her, but I've destroyed so much in the way I did it. I'm healthy (physically anyway!) and I've a good job, so I hope 2012 is a better year.

I really hope to meet some new friends on here, from what I've read so far it's looking good.

Is your ex French? I ask because I went through the whole divorce thing in another country and know how much extra pressure it can add on to things.

I hope things turn out for the best in the long run, easier said than done I know but the pain will pass in time and hopefully prove that you made the right decision.

BTW - She tried to sensible about all of this (even though there may have been hidden agendas) but I was an ******* about it all.
