I have lots of "friends" here at college, some might even consider them good friends, but there isn't the feeling of a connection that I have with my "previous" friends.
(I still have my previous friends, we just don't see each other that much as they are all over the country due to college)

I can be an extremely outgoing guy, I'm athletic, have no women problems, do well in school, active in clubs and hobbies, but these months i've spent at college honestly feel like prison. I feel alone, even though I can hang out with people whenever.

No matter how hard I try to get to know someone here, even if they feel like we are good friends, I don't have a sense of connection with them, and thus that "relationship" is completely meaningless to me.

why no connection? :|

i think I kind of might know what you mean, like you hang out but you don't feel really a close friend feeling with them?

some thing I've noticed at least with my own experiences is that in college people tend to hang out in large groups of 5 or more people often, so you hang out but you get no close one on one connection that allows to really get to know each other

maybe try hanging out with smaller groups of friends or just meeting up with one friend for coffee or something on occasion

i hope this helps some

*hugs*
