*knock knock*

Me: Who is it?
Them: Jason (little Jason - 5th grade)
Me: Come in.
Jason: Aunt Deb, can you help me with my History project?
Me: (what?! It's 8:50 and I've already taken my Ambien) Really?
Jason: Yes ma'am.
Me: Where is your dad?
Jason: They called him into work.
Me: (sighs) When is it due?
Jason: It was due on Friday, but I didn't finish it. (starts crying)
Me: *facepalm* Come on in and show me what you have to do.
Jason: (huge smile) I still need to do most of it.
Me: (more facepalming) Alright, lets get started.
*****45 minutes later***
Me: OK, is that all you need to do?
Jason: Yeah. You're the greatest! Thank you! (gives hug)
Me: (melts) You're welcome.

These are the moments that you cannot buy, borrow or steal.

Truly priceless....

The little things in life really are the best.

EDIT: No, I'm not talking about the little boy *chuckles*

*ahem* Right, not the little boy.

I'm the favorite uncle. I proofread my niece's papers. She's away at university. Since she realized that Uncle JD delivers a 4.0, I now have papers stacking up.
