Okay then. A good trilogy of books. I'm just seeing how long it will take before Frodo writes us an essay extolling the virtues of the books.

Oh some special person would be too happy for this thread and would be making an essay here soon enough.

OMG CAS We posted those at almost the same time haha. I didnt even see your post LOL.

Oh its not for me? Damn. I thought it would be atleast a bit intriguing

I would be interested to know what is in the book that the movies are lacking. As a child I saw the animated Hobbit, Fellowship, and Return of the king. True I didn't see the two towers until the more recent movies came out, if I see it as a movie I tend to not be as interested in the book, but as I understand those who find the books first tend to like them more then the movie. Kind of like with subtitled anime, maybe it depends on which version you see first. I really liked DBZ and Yuyu Hakusho in english, but Naruto I absolute cannot stand except in original japanese, but this is also the first way I saw them, and so first impressions.

Also, I used to have a LOTR tarot deck that also doubled as it's own unique card game. It was a present from a girl whom I thought I meant absolutely nothing to, but as it turns out she respected me in some way...

People in positions of authority are fulfilling an inherently intimidating role. If it helps think of him as a gardner who knows what to prune so that the overall plant will stay healthy. Can you picture him in an apron planting seeds in a greenhouse? lol

What this thread needs at this juncture is a picture:

Hey guys, so I'm getting drunk tonight and kinda have a lot of time to kill. Who here thinks I should watch the extended version of all three LOTR movies along with beer, steak, and orange kush? It's been about 2 or 3 years since I watched them last...

Although I have no idea what Orange Kush is, I think you should totally do it as long as you have 10 hours free. :)
