What a stupid video.
The video talks about the facts enlisted below:

1. Lazy guys aren't attractive.
2. One's mental health is significantly influenced by their achievements.
3. The dating market is skewed and most men do not even get acknowledged, let alone receive intimacy and love.
4. Most men do not take a conscious, long term effort to become attractive and to improve various aspects of their life.
5. Indulging in instant gratification activities like social media diminishes your attention span and makes you less ambitious.
6. Your work is your contribution to the world. You should try to maximize your capability in doing so.
7. If one indulges in deep work, they can produce something they are proud of.

This summarizes the entire video.
I would like you to highlight the specific points that are 'stupid' and we can have a discussion on each of them.

Life is NOT about being some sort of buffed out, alpha, go getter ****, who has the respect of his fellow men and the love of the ladies.
Hahaha. Okay.
A buffed out isn't necessarily an alpha, and a go getter isn't necessarily a ****. Also, a life where one has the respect of his fellow men and the love of the ladies is certainly better than one without either of these, keeping all other factors equal.

I swear to god, the internet just wants you to punch yourself in the **** and call it good.
Ummm... "What in the living **** are people subjecting themselves too, lol."
Life, that precious thing we have a limited amount of, is varied.
It is sad and shameful that most men live their limited, precious thing called life without even realizing their true potential, wasting their youth in gaming and ****ography and then wondering what went wrong.

The goal in life isn't to be a ******* ****** bag. It's to explore, learn, create, love, and be amazed.
The guy's entire story and message revolves around how he used to be a ****** bag in college who used to get the best girls and smoke all the time, but how it no way made his life better. His life got better when he quit that and drugs and started indulging in creative activities like writing, forming an aesthetic body/getting in good shape, practicing regular meditation, getting out of poverty, focusing on one woman to build a meaningful relationship with, building a YouTube channel with a huge influence, developing social and communication skills and forming a network of hard working and ambitious people. None of this contradicts your "explore, learn, create" message. Everyone's exploration is different, everyone's lesson is different, but the attitude and outlook one needs to get there or get started, is more or less, the same. That's the point!

All this machismo comes from insecurity.
Masculinity is one of the consequences of adversity. One would not have to stand along the border if there was no enemy on the other side waiting to invade your country and slaughter your loved ones. One would not need to hunt for food, if cheeseburgers grew on trees.

There is nothing wrong if a guy who has felt like a victim all his life, never received any intimacy, love and affection, tries to boost his morale and improve every aspect of his life that he possibly can. In fact, it is necessary.
Anyways, most women love masculine, charismatic, ambitious and attractive men. And most of it is built, not given by birth. And since most men do not do that, most women in the dating market are unfulfilled despite having an overwhelming bias towards them.

There's many tough challenges in life that will require strength; and some are stronger than others. But, I'm fairly certain, strength is quite a relative concept, along with many other things; just like the old saying, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder.'
No beholder thinks that there is any beauty in the OPs original message. No beholder thinks that it is 'beautiful'.
However, if the OP changes his approach, he can get into a better place from where he is now. His mental health, his lifestyle, his career, his knowledge and skills, everything could improve a bit more, regardless of where it is now. And I challenge you that life wouldn't be 'worse' if the OP starts working on it on a consistent basis. It would be better. Then your proverb will hold more water for him.

Also, strength isn't really always physical strength. But most self-imp. messengers focus on it because it is relatively easier to start with, it gives you that momentum and your brain that positive feedback in the initial phase. Your body is the only real asset you own. It is often one of the best places to start with.

It's funny, it used to be women, who were constantly subjected to ultra-unrealistic ideals of feminine beauty. They'd buy all the make-up they were supposed to, find the fashion that was fashionable, read the little articles about how to do this and that for your man.

And now men are doing the same thing.
Ideal is the best defining vector. When one starts to work on something, they define an ideal outcome and try to work towards it. Its really that simple of a concept.
When one starts playing chess, he looks at the best players of all time for inspiration like Tal or Carlsen or Anand, not the user DM644C_3 on lichess.org who has an ELO of 901.
When someone starts a business, he studies the most efficient and successful long term businessman he knows, not the kid selling lemonade for a few cents.

They let other men, tell them what it means to be a man, and try to measure up, this way and that way.

F that.
"Life is NOT about being some sort of buffed out, alpha, go getter ****, who has the respect of his fellow men and the love of the ladies"

Anyways, the video at 3:17 literally tells that every man will want a different type of body for themselves. But overall, an athletic body is characterized by less body fat and more muscle mass.
-actually watched more of the video-
Seems the guy may be somewhat well intentioned towards a specific audience... So, I may have misjudged.
Yep, its possible... who knows, I mean the video is over 5 minutes long!!!

but still.. The reason so many people feel so unfilled in a meaning less and pointless existence, is because the culture that dominates us is ******* horse crap.
That's his message. That's why he asks to stop activities of instant gratification and indulging in deep work towards whatever one is passionate about.
I mean by all means, be healthy and successful. But, that's the trick isn't it?
It is certainly one of the good starts, yes. It will get you out of a lot of your non problems, if not all. (y)

The majority of men get still manage to get in relationships, get married, so the statement that most men are failures and all it takes is some work to stand out is plain wrong - 80% refers to physical attractiveness as rated on dating app profile pics.

While there's a good message there as far as giving up drugs, **** and gaming, nowhere is there a justification for why the onus for self improvement rests entirely with men. We don't live in a society where being a provider really means something any more, no-fault divorce and the sexual revolution saw to that.

Working out usually isn't going to get you noticed because nobody walks around with their shirt off. But like you said, focusing on gym is easy advice. No need to address problems like learning critical social skills late as an adult. Or how to find something you're good at, pays well, and interesting. The role of IQ . Or how every man is supposed to "reach his potential" as if there were room in the economy for that. (Who does the low paying work, the trades, the routine office jobs, which should according to this perspective make a man undateable?) Nothing about the loss of community or the lack of 'third places' to meet the opposite ***. Or any mention of how Japan with its emphasis on education, work and success, has the highest rate of adult virginity and a social underclass of maladjusted young men.

Everything that can't be reduced down to simple soundbite advice is just glossed over or ignored.

Youtubers like this are all saying pretty much the same barely articulate version of Man Up. Rarely do you get any clear idea of what THEY have achieved besides running a channel and selling a workout routine.

(It's not hard to see what the argument could be. Reverting to evo psych. Except we don't live in that society any more, there are none of the guarantees that used to come with the provider role, while people put off having kids until nearly middle age.)

Working out usually isn't enough to get noticed for the obvious reason that nobody walks around in public with their shirt off. But focusing on gym is easy advice. No need to talk about the complicated problems, like how to learn critical social skills as an adult when most people already have an established friend circle. Where to meet single women. The role of IQ in career choice. How to find something you're good at, pays well, and enjoy. Or how every man is supposed to "reach his potential" as if there could be room in the economy for everyone to wealthy and successful that way. (Who does the low paying work, the trades, the routine office jobs?)

Everything that can't be reduced down to simple soundbite advice is glossed over or just ignored. It's intentionally vague. Nothing about the destruction of community. You must know that Japan, with it's brutal work culture and high income, has the some of the highest rates of adult virginity and socially maladjusted young men in the world, right?

These youtubers seem to spawn more of the same, all saying pretty much the same things. Rarely do you get any of idea what they actually DO beyond running their channel or selling some workout routine/motivational course.

I think the onus for self improvement being on us largely stems from the fact that a man's sexual value is tied so much to things like income and status whereas for a woman it just comes with her most fertile years.

Some guy tried to tell me it's our cooking and cleaning ability I was like.... Yeahhh rightttt 😂

The point in the video that is stupid, to me, is that pepe the frog meme and everything it has morphed into and come to stand for, along with all the other memetic 4chan cartoonish character tropes. If it motivates you to be a better person though, rock on.

_You_, however, make some very good points, and I felt even more stupid after reading your post, then when I made mine.

Onwards..

@Lonelyroad haha very funny. Maybe weed did kill somebody but they didn't die from smoking it hehehehe.

@SpectraApocalypse I tried edibles and didn't really like them myself, they did **** me I felt too much. Which for me is rare, normally I enjoy something like that.

I think its necessary, considering his target audience. If he had produced an audio essay, he would have gone unnoticed. Its often best for content creators to include some sort of shock, intrigue or wonder to get their audience interested.

Oh, don't say that. You and I have very limited knowledge about everything.
That being said, I totally disagree with the guy on many things. He is not ideal. We can take the things we think will get us into a better place. (y)

My guy told me it was bacon mashed potatoes that got him. It was a joke with us for years. Before I actually met him in person, I had made dinner for my family, and when I said bacon mashed potatoes, he proclaimed an anniversary date. I forget what else I made for dinner that day. It was over a decade ago. But cooking could do a bit of something. (y)

I'm an unattractive woman. Guys may not find me hideous but, would never be with me. I won't fight it anymore, I just focus in something else and accept it. I'm not happy about it but, I won't change who I am either. I'll find peace in other ways.

Who told you you that you are unattractive? Tell them to go **** themselves. Just own it! Be proud of who you are and everyone else can **** off! Your not unattractive and I haven't seen you. I just know! Don't be so frickin hard on yourself.

It's not positive bs. I'm confused to who actually told u that u are unattractive? I understand you might not look like Cindy Crawford or one of they horrid Kardasins or whatever they're called but you can't be that bad ffs are u a cyclops or have u got 2 noses or something bad or is it that you just don't feel beautiful? Life isn't always about looks and I know these are only words from a stranger but if you tell enough people that your ugly then they'll start to believe you whether true or not. I dare you to act like you you feel beautiful for one day and see what happens. Could be nothing or it could be something. I'm still interested to know how you know your so unattractive?

I'm not attractive either. Can I tell you what? It doesn't matter. It simply just doesn't matter.

100% agree about myself. Its about accepting what is.

100% agree about myself. Its about accepting what is.
I agree, its about accepting what is and ignoring what isnt. I totally believe if you can find some self worth and just be proud of who you are then that confidence will make you feel that little bit more attractive to yourself. I'd say who frickin cares what other people think and if its actually yourself who keeps telling you your not attractive then just start telling yourself the opposite. You just might start to believe. You never know!

It's not a fantasy. I would take an "ugly" guy over an arrogant "good looking" ******* any day of the week. And oh wait, I have many times.
Women go for ******* guys time and time again. Looks DO matter. They matter way more than they should. Most people would rather be with a good looking ahole than a super nice ugly person. Its just a fact of the world. It sucks, it really does but its true. What good is a great personality if you never get the chance to show it to anyone?

I actually agree with what your saying but it's not always about looks. It about bluffing the high confidence thing that makes a lot if guys seems more attractive than they are. I'm a guy with low confidence and I've seen guys who ain't no adonis but the bluffed confidence and women live the confidence thing as much as the good-looking thing.

Honestly, what a man looks like has not even of the slightest bit of importance to me personally...aside from height and race if I am even allowed to say that... curse the woke.... any who... However, I cant take that and pretend this relates to most or even a majority of women, studies show.... it doesn't. The same thing is true for people with disabilities, it is very sad, but a real problem they are facing to the point they had a debate on the radio once, that a form of prostitution should be legal and funded for people with disabilities.
