As the title implies, what are some facts about yourself that others may find strange?
  1. I can't swallow medication, so everything needs to be crushed or in liquid form.
  2. I chew every single thing until it's almost pureed before swallowing, due to a scary incident that happened years ago.
  3. If I meet someone, I have to talk to them for an extensive period of time before meeting them in person.

Huh. I don’t find any of those strange and actually the first two, I’m exactly the same way and for the same reasons.

Oh wow, a lot of people around my way find it strange. I'm Med Certified and still until this day, can't watch without fear of others swallowing cups of meds at a time! Some don't even use water!

I find that quite interesting actually, considering you look for women on the streets. Tell me how flirting doesn't play into that.
I don't look for them on the streets.
I haven't picked up a streetwalker in over 30 years.
I see girls from high end escorts services and upscale massage parlors.

There is no flirting involved.
I simply book an appointment with one of the organizations with which I am a well known member and show up on time.
Yes, once in the room they usually initiate some sort of "sexy talk", but I do not consider that flirting, it's just part of their job.

Oh okay. I was under the impression that you still seen street walkers as well as escorts, and normally you'd have to manipulate them a little to get them in the mood, so figured otherwise. Interesting that you've never flirted, I've actually never heard of that before, which I'm sure is possible, but being in your line of interests with women, I'd figure that came natural.

OK for mine -
I guess you could say some people would think it's strange that I'm still interested in the same things I liked as a kid - action figures and fandoms and such.

At some point, I figured why lie about myself?
To fit in, with people I don't fit in with anyway?
To impress people that don't really like me, and that I don't even like either?
Why should I be a prisoner of their opinion?
There's nothing in it for me.
When I was an actual child, I was insecure about my interests because a lot of my peers, having older siblings, had already moved on to video games, or just directly to booze and weed, when I was still into kid stuff. Also, I was the oldest sibling, so I didn't have an older sibling to copy. I was happy as I was, at least in some ways.

Some might make fun of me for that, but they can 🖕 off.
I'm more secure in myself now.
I do have a balanced range of my old interests, and newer, more age-appropriate ones (cars, bands).
Besides, I tend to talk to likeminded women who either understand it, or are at least not bothered by it.
And the same goes for my guy friends. I don't really discuss it much with them, but they aren't really the kind of people that would care enough to hold it against me.

Either way, it puts a smile on my face. I was just making sure everything was OK with my old Star Wars ships a few days ago. I still really like the way they look, and I like the memories attached to them with my brothers and that era of our lives.

And I know I'm not alone either. There's a growing nostalgia market among people around my age, for the stuff we had as kids. I think overall, as "geek culture" for lack of a better term becomes more mainstream, it's seen as less strange than in past decades.

I have done it before, but it's definitely not an everyday thing for me.
I will say that a little more than a dozen times in my life, in bars I did approach girls and asked them if they wanted to have a drink.
But 1) I did that only with other guys urging me on, and 2) I only politely asked if they wanted to come over and have a drink with us. I didn't compliment them or make a joke or an opening line or anything -- things I would say constitute "flirting".

There's nothing wrong with that. I still love things now, that I did when I was a child. I love my stuffed animals, and that'll never fade. They even have their own personalities, lol. Another thing, I've been into video games since I first got a Nintendo, and I've graduated to PS, but still a video gamer, and always will be. Some things in our childhood we carry into adulthood and there's nothing wrong with it.

What's an upscale massage parlour? Is that like in a expensive hotel or is it a like a posh brothel but with massage.
On a side note I made a thread about this about a bloke I worked with who saw regular escorts. He was qiute happy about it and I think it helped with his lonliness.

I never flirt.
Ever.
Not even once in my life have I done that and I never will.
Same here.To riddled with social anxiety. I used to write notes to women, worked with a couple.

No facts ,I'm pretty boring really wish I had some.
Actually I have got two .I drink four cups of tea when I wake at three in the morning. Also I cover my motorbike with a fur coat , because it's my baby and I don't like the thought of it getting cold.

Omg, that's too funny about your motorbike, "it's my baby and I don't like the thought of it getting cold". That's cute actually. I have a friend like that with his motorcycle. Wishes he could bring it in the house so it doesn't get cold, as it's his girlfriend, lol.

4 cups of tea isn't weird. I have friends who drink pots and pots of coffee all day long! Not me though, I generally just have 1 cup in the morning, unless I'm just feeling like another later in the day.

Yes, very true, he's the same way. His own girlfriend argues with him, because he has conversations with his bike and pays more attention to the bike than her, lol. I think it's hilarious, but to every serious biker, that's just what it is. He has a custom-made Chopper style Harley.

It's a full service massage parlor (yes, a posh brothel with a shortened massage )with nice, clean accommodations (table showers and nice beds, not massage tables), and young attractive girls. Here in NY over the past 5 years or so we have been getting a lot of very pretty Japanese girls in their early to mid 20s who come here for a few weeks, make a boatload of cash, then go back to Japan. They work in the upscale AMPs (Asian Massage Parlors).

The Koreans in the upscale places are usually late 20s to mid 30s -- but they get a lot of plastic surgery and are very careful about keeping a thin body, so they look young and in general are very pretty, albeit due to the surgery.

The AMPs that are not upscale (much cheaper than the above) have mostly Chinese women (and sometimes Koreans) that are usually over 40. I do not go to those places.

Then there are standard massage parlors where you go specifically for a good full body massage and happy ending. Those women are almost always over 40, but the 60 minute massage is excellent. Totally different experience and expectations than the above. I really don't even consider this sex, it's just a great massage with a release at the end, so the age/looks thing doesn't bother me in these places.

I always find it interesting to see how others live their lives, especially when it comes to a lifestyle I'd never dream about living. I find it fascinating that you can do these type of things where as a lot of others can't, and vice versa in certain areas.
