'Why a Dr Suess book?' Oh, glad you asked random stranger. It was the first book I read all by myself. The day letters in groups made sense. The day grown-ups lying to me about what sign said what ended. That day, 4 years old, is one of the happiest, proudest and empowering days I think I've ever had.

The Hork-Bajir Chronicles (from Animorphs).

I remember having a fun time reading that as a kid, and getting into the author's worldbuilding.

I really have to get back into reading books in general.

Motel 007, or The Spy Who Loved Me. Very different a story from the movie. First time I remember being moved by the story of a woman having so rough a life. Her getting saved by James Bond killing two thugs at the end was practically an afterthought
