I'm a female, but it doesn't matter. It applies either way to either sex.
I don't know if you are male or female (the drawing would make me assume female), but I think the experience is a lot different for men than for women, and if you are not that good at taking initiative as a man then waiting for it to happen might take forever, and when a woman finally takes the initiative she is probably not the one I would be attracted to.

I have had that experience very few times.
Some conversations even start like this:

Hi, will you pay drinks for me on our date?

That is the first message...

Another one was saying that on my photos I didn't look like the same guy, and she was right that they were not all from the same timeframe, but they were all mine, and my profile was verified.
Hers on the contrary included one picture of her (?) which I doubted was real, and for the rest pictures of landscapes, harbours, a bar/restaurant in London.
After explaining about my pictures she immediately went for the next question: "What do you do for a living?"

It is obvious that these dating sites are teeming with scammers, and many women just want a guy to fill up the gaps in their spending diet.
There's so many spammers out there even more than ever before. I don't trust all that now. It's ridiculous how many fake profiles are out there these days. It was never this bad back in the days. I'm actually a very closed off type of person when someone randomly friends or messages me on social media, but I've been trying to give people more of the benefit of the doubt, until they give me a reason to not be nice.

I really don't think it's the same.
Men are supposed to be the hunters, also when it comes to relationships, so they have to take the initiative.
And women are supposed to then make a selection between them.
If you are male, but don't feel that selfconfident to take the initiative, you can wait forever for it to happen, and nothing will happen.
Oh, yes, someday some woman might stroke her arm against your leg, hinting that she is feeling something (horny or otherwise), but the ones that do this are generally not attractive.
From women, even the ones I generally think unattractive, I have heard that if they felt horny, they just needed to put on a short skirt and walk a bit in the street and men would be hitting on them.

I don't believe all men should be hunters, same with women. It's a 50/50 thing. If someone's interested in someone else, they can simply tell someone or act upon it. I'm not even attracted to half of the people in the world. Nobody knows about decency and respect anymore. People are attracted to people for all the wrong reasons. And the way people dress, don't even get me started on that issue! I like people, respect, and are natural.

No, it doesn't.
I've even seen a video about a woman who made a man's profile to see what the experience was like.
Women were like the whole time "Be original, blow me off my socks", and she quickly started seeing how difficult it was.
