What makes you different from everyone else? Would you trade being as you are for being like someone else? Do you agree with the article below?

Staying within the social norm and fitting in, to most is more valuable than authenticity. Don’t attract attention to yourself, be liked by others and do what your told seems to be the mainstream mantra. Life is not a uniform organism. The truth is, we will never find personal freedom by trying to please others and conforming our life to a template. If we are all truly different, why do we try to force the unique shapes of our personalities, skills, beliefs and ideas into the square peg of social acceptance?

I dont feel that I'm any different than anyone else out there, and honestly I have no problem with that. I think the article is alittle out-dated on its mindset. I feel the world is much more accepting of alternate lifestyles and personalities than its ever been. People are going out all the time doing things that havent been done in the past, and society is largely not bothered by it.

Its on the individual to decide what direction they want to take their life in and then follow that path. You might face some opposition, however society will not attempt to hold you down like this article suggest. We have largly moved past those times.
