Why does chatting with women have to be so hard?

Over the past month, I have been contacted by three different women via Facebook IM.

1. The first woman is a 34yr.-old single mother, who is 23yrs. younger than me.

2. The second woman(who actually only lives a few blocks from me), when looking at her photos' on her Facebook page. She looks young enough to be my daughter.

3. The third woman said she was wealthy, yet would I loan her $.

It doesn't have to be hard. You're psyching yourself out. Why? They are just another person. We are essentially the same as you. We have feelings, we want to be respected, we want to be treated well.

1. Are you against an age difference? It's fine if you are, just asking

2. Don't judge by appearance, she could use filters or had plastic surgery or just got a good angle or even just has good genes.

3. Maybe stay away from this one....

But seriously, what makes women so different from men that you can't talk to them? Do you struggle to converse with female workers....like the cashier at a store? Or what about woman WAY younger or WAY older than you are?

Be wary.

I've been to a few social themed meetups where women here on work visas would approach much older men hoping those guys would help them get jobs, show them around, help them with a local driver's license, etc.

The chances of the fist 2 genuinely wanting relationships are practically zero, particularly if you're putting it out there about being lonely.

Younger women pull this nonsense all the time.... flatter the ego of a lonely older guy for 'stuff.'

Callie's obviously correct about #3. Pretty blatant.

FB/messenger dating groups are the worst for scams.

I am against the age difference, because. She is barely older than my kids'. I don't have any female co-workers. The woman in question, sent me a Friend request on Facebook. I can't risk being with a woman WAY older than me. I am nearing 60, and have had chronic health issues all my life.

The right person is out there—online dating is about perseverance... though I did prefer physically meeting people before getting to know them! Sadly, the technological advancements have decreased this chance... keep your chin up! :)
