No.  I find it ridiculous that this is a thing.

Who has the extra money to blow on this anyway?

I'd prefer to spend my money on something more tangible, in the real world, that I can keep.

The closest I would go to this would be like DLC for games, and only if I really liked the game and really thought it added functionality to it, because I'm generally against that kind of stuff.  I miss the days where you bought a game once, and beyond the occasional expansion pack, that was it, you were done.

But I guess we can expect to see more of these kinds of schemes to try to artificially create value out of nothing, as we descend further into this survival-of-the-fittest, hyper-individualist a-hole timeline that's all about monetizing every aspect of existence.  It's what I'm talking about - we have more and more technology, but it's just being used for either increasing efficiency for the people that already own everything, or for these dumb hustles to get money out of trying to artificially create demand and value where none actually exists.  So all the technological advancements in the world, aren't helping anything if this is what it's going to be used for.  It's not actually being used to upgrade the way we live, improve the human condition.  It's not innovation, it's nonsense.
