I think back to times I had a purpose, I felt I could do anything I put my mind to. I had this fantasy in my mind - I'd gather up the friends I'd come to have, set them up in a sweet little building - rent free. We would sit back and relax in the shared garden and giggle to no end.

I was 12 years old at the time and dreamy. Nowadays, I don't even have that to keep me company. All my dreams have evaporated, as if they never were, never have been.

I'm left with thoughts of a world gone crazy, of dog eat dog, of gaslit-to-no-end-people. Are we merely passing the time until - the inevitability?

Of course we are just passing the time. Everything is, BUT, each person has the opportunity to make the most of their time here, to discover themselves, more about others, more about the world. You don't just have to sit there and erode away. You can try to enjoy the gift of life that has been afforded to you. Sure the world can look crazy, because that's what the media likes to show mostly, especially in the more "developed" world, but take a look at where people still live simply, and you will see more often than not there is contentment there.

Welcome to the forum.

I've read your posts. You write quite poetically. Do you write for work/ a hobby?
