I don't know how much I agree with this thread. Living a solitary lifestyle involves some additional costs that were mentioned above, but also can save money in other areas. It just depends on the individual and his/her spending habits.

Yep, I often feel lonely even when surrounded by people. I'd rather spend my time alone than with people I feel like I can't connect to.
