Oh, I love Germany. I don't think I could ever settle there, but still hold good memories of Germans I met in the past...

I'm assuming you were going to propose a meeting? I don't see the harm in a hypothetical discussion. Might be kind of fun to see if it's plausible or not. It's not like you're going to start tracking people down and kidnapping them. No one has to volunteer anything they don't want.
