3D TV - Will you be taking the early plunge?

Hopefully getting a fairly tidy bonus again this year, and was thinking about upgrading to 3D.

The missus will kill me because i got a 46" less than a year ago, but we have the baby coming soon, and I will pretty much never be allowed to buy anything ever again.

Will the technology be outdated really quickly, shall I wait, shall I just go for it?
