My heart has been exposed to the firing squad, perpetually
I see the scene clearly,without a blindfold
I hear the soldiers of love click their guns, chuckle among themselves
Their weapons cold and cocked, ready to fire
They grin evilly,bearing crooked teeth
A commander speaks,"Ready! Aim! Fire!"

A searing pain knocks me off my feet
Lays me out
I'm still breathing,I keep going
Waiting for the firing squad again

Oftentimes I find, that poetry, is a good medium through which to work out feelings which bother us.

I used to write a lot of cathartic poems...

However, if you find that your writing makes you FOCUS on the bad stuff instead of being a release vent, then...it's not doing you any good.

That's my two cents anyway. :)

Thanks for your two cents. I appreciate it.
