I was beginning to lose the sense of your face
To forget how you feel
I was beginning get comfortable of a life without you
Without your presence and your familiarity

You've been my only friend for so long
You were my cove and my protection
You kept me at bay from everyone that could have hurt me
and I knew you wanted me for your own

how easy I could forget
how easy I could move on
I drank my morning coffee sometimes thinking of what used to be
I went about my day choosing to forget
I slept at night without even bothering to think of you
I felt free

Oh old friend
you must have missed me so
you must have yearn to be by my side
as you are here now
and I am remembering how you feel
the coldness in your presence
oh loneliness
here you are again

Thanks Naleena yeah I was going through some rough times. I just thought that it's weird sometimes how after a phase of loneliness you get happy and have something to occupy your mind but then when you feel lonely again you sort of realize the transition of lonely-happy-lonely, how your new loneliness seems new but also familiar to what you have felt before. it's like... wow, I'm back (d)
