I think we tend to get fond of the way people make us feel. And when they leave, we miss the way we were while being around them. We miss ourselves in those moments. People come and go but they all shape us somehow. We miss the feelings we had when we were around them.
Every encounter is precious.
And just because we lose someone, doesn't mean we lost the way they impacted us.
I think you should let that longing sink in. Pain crystalizes and becomes experience, life is made of millions of moments. Everything counts. No need to let it go. Just let it be. It feels lonely now. Missing something is the sweetest pain. Your heart is so rich.
