Tex Is Lost

The person I'm going to speak of is not a member of this Forum.
In fact, to the best of my knowledge, she has never searched the internet or even touched a computer. But in spite of that, she has literally seen the advent of EVERY technology of the modern world.

I'm talking about my Grandma.

Today is her birthday. She is 101 years old.

What does she have to do with a forum on loneliness? Nothing. But I do suspect that in her life she has dealt with damn near every problem or emotion that any of us here have talked or posted about.

So I thank you all for indulging me. Below is a link to the local newspaper article about her.

Happy Birthday Grandma

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, what a cutie pie!

Grandma's adivce on a long life: “I lived a clean life and ate lots of onions and hot peppers. I never drank or smoked and I taught my boys to can tomato juice and jelly. All that combined is why God let me live for so long.”

Happy 101, Gramma! Kisses!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

It is interesting Tex that you mentioned how she has seen the advent of every technology in the modern world. I saw the advent of the Internet in high school and the advent of MP3 in college and thought that was pretty amazing. Your Grandma really has seen it all :)
