So following my kidney stone incident I'm not allowed to drink any coke, coffee, or have any caffeine. Thats going from a month of drinking at least 3 cokes a day, usually more. It was ok at first, but now I have massive migraine all day and feel pretty tired.

Maybe a slow decrease might help you out.. chocolate has caffeine in it and it wouldn't be as much as coke (if it's milk chocolate that is). That or just stick it out for as long as you can... I don't know how long that feeling would last.

What she says.

With the caffeine withdraw and kidney stones, I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks everyone. I've been doing my research. I don't know what kind of stone I have so I've looked up all the different kinds. Chocolate is also a no no unfortunately. The headaches come and go, and I've been sleeping a lot more too. Right now I spend more time asleep then I do awake.

3 Cokes a day! Wow I'm surprised you still have a stomach lining and it hasn't been eaten away. At least you are getting more sleep. Isn't there any medication your doctor can recommend to help with the headaches?

I drink AT LEAST 3 diet cokes a day :-(
So I can only imagine how hard it must be to go without.

Yes I know that I should reduce my intake, and I try.. Sometimes

Nice to see you around, mr big cheese, sir...

Headaches gone, and I'm a bit more awake now. Avoid high fructose corn syrup if you can (sucks they even use it in gatorade) Yeah I used to drink about 4 cokes, 2 with supper and another 2 with another big meal later. (I'm a night owl, supper is breakfast for me, and then I make something around midnight or so)

Diet can be worse because of the aspartame. The very best drink I recommend is Propel Fitness Water, berry or grape. Decent taste, zero calories, zero carbs, no HFCS, lots of vitamins. Not a fizzy drink, but very mild compared to fruit drinks. It's everything Gatorade should've been.

I'm normally not bothered with any issues involving caffeine, but when you go from a bunch of cokes everyday to a week or two cold turkey, the first couple of days tend to suck. Not a good idea to mess around with ones sugar intake either, as this could result in problems... like ugh diebetes.
