The word Cathar derives from Cat. They would kiss the ass of a black cat and practiced orgies.

As it turns out the reason for persecution, from the early Christians to the Inquisition, was because the Gnostics threatened the intense marriage monogamy culture of Rome. The Gnostics viewed marriage as being the same as prostitution, a binding contract for the purpose of gain, in the case of marriage, the gain being children and family structure.

Secret sex rituals were practiced. The original Eucharist involved the ritual ingesting of semen and menstrual blood, called menses, as the body and blood of Christ, after orgies took place. If someone did get pregnant, the fetus was extracted and chopped into little pieces and then eaten. Horrified and threatened, the Romans fought back. The church had councils to keep the practice of love feasts out of church up until the end of the first millenium, and at 353 at the council of Gangra pronounced Anathema anyone who spoke against the love feast Agape or would not participate in it when invited.

The secret mystery tradition of Dionysus was transmitted by the Essenes to the Gnostics to the Cathars, Waldenses, and finally the Knights Templars. All the witch hunts and Inquisitions were primarily to wipe out these sex cults. A lot of innocent people died over this, and anyone who wanted to have a free society outside of Rome was thought to do so for the purpose of having sex orgies.

Some humans are a disease to humanity itself is how I see it.

Then again, my definition of humanity is pretty exclusive, rather than inclusive.

Seriously? We have 12,13 and 14 year olds on this forum.
I think people should keep this in mind when posting.

trust me,

it's no worse than what they are hearing in school

with:

Mandatory ATM
Beejer Parties (aka: Rainbow Parties)
Group Sex

and the like...

These kids have seen more and know more about sex than most of us did by 30 years old.

Kind of sad actually, because most of what they "KNOW" is harmful and hurtful. Not at all what sex should be.

I'm sure most Bulgarian teens can teach me a thing or two about sex, lol.
Today's youth society is going bonkers with sexuality. And no, I don't say that from the position of a celibate hermit.

Seriously? Okay next time I hear of a parent complaining about the content that appears on this forum that their child is reading, I'll direct them your way.

The fact of the matter still remains that there are young people on this forum and EVERYONE needs to keep that in mind in what they post.

Eve was just reminding everyone of that, it isn't open for debate.

I find amusing how religions share al lot of similarities... they are always "influenced" by some ancient relgion. Makes you wonder...

So if we didn't have whe whole chatolic thing we would be constantly having sex with each other? Or doing it like it's a ritual, with wine and music. Maybe we'd still be doing that. Sounds like where I wanna live! We could use something like that. There wouldn't be so much violence. Like with the bonobos. They have lots of sex and that makes them less agressive. Maybe we got disconnected from our nature?

Who knows for sure... It's just a theory... At least Jesus toght us some basic morals. So that was a good thing. What I never understand is how you burn women and claim to stick to the Ten Commandments and the teachings of JC at the same time... I know some sins are hard to avoid, but at least the "not killing other humans" part seems pretty easy to avoid to me, unless you're a psycho...

i made that same point some time ago and was laughed off the forum for it

either choose to censor or not to censor, i was just saying - what most would agree is true - that most kids nowadays hear way worse in school and on the Internet at large

was not debating anyone's authority to scold, reprimand, or censor

So, the above is considered reputable?

Could they just not get high, play twister and go down on each other. Did there have to be all the weird featus eating and getting married and all the other weird ****.

Thats how it is. Sex / love is one of the most widely contested deep psychological taboo as well as the building block of any culture. I don't believe this is what Jesus meant when he said take up your cross and whoever doesn't hate their family isn't worthy, his disciples went from town to home healing people, but I can see how some would interpret it this way. If you leave society and family and believe there is no marriage for those worthy of the future age where do you go? If there is no marriage and also no sex, then the human race dies. Withdrawing from society into private communes threatens it, and such arrangement often falls into a free love situation. So people would have less qualms about wiping them out, and when you withdraw from a government and become your own tribe, you become just that. Without a system that allows you to raise an army you become worse off then a small country some empire wants to invade.

Bones, what you found is some kind of chat box where anyone can post things. It lends no merit to whether something is reputable or not. By that logic If I wanted to discredit something, I'd post a bunch of links and act like a total nut job, and then people would assume the research is wrong, including the external links, because of my acting. It doesn't prove a thing. There are hundreds of different links in the articles, and this guy is dead set on his free love ideas and making the church see it's past. That big list of referneces I posted are from the second video, which is a completely different guy doing his own research. What I said was reputable was the church councils and ancient historians, not the website, although I don't see anything wrong with that aside from the authors blue text point of view, which I disagree with from time to time, and certain false conclusions drawn about Jesus and his teachings.

Yes, 13-14 do come, we do tend to forget. When I was that age I thought about such things, but I have to admit even I didn't think about the menstrual blood eucharist. That one is an all time gross. I was going to make another thread in issues on how ever since learning about it, and these sex cults, I haven't had any desire to watch any kind of porn ever again, but I think one thread is enough...

I think its easy to forget about young people coming here, because I see people swearing and making threads about porn from time to time.

As far as legal marriage, where the state is a third party, I would fully support doing away with that, but Love: where two individuals are bound to each other exclusively, is not the same thing. Just because two people don't get married doesn't mean they can't love each other. I personally don't think my relations are any business of the state, but a spiritually binding covenant of matrimony is a different case. So it is by no means clear what was meant. They had to do away with the torah laws, because they prohibit lewdness. If you separate Jesus from the old testament, it leaves us ripe to make him into another Dionysus. One could just as much see Jesus as the romantic who insisted two people should not divorce under any circumstance except cheating, which is what he said and then the disciples said it was better not to marry.
