It really wouldn't surprise me, they have so much money what else they gonna spend it on? Might as well develop a drug habit like that - they can afford it, only it somehow may have gotten out of hand.

I'd imagine it would have happened anyway but I can totally see bankers getting coked up and blowing all of our money.

They should use their ties to hang themselves instead. Less expensive and the world would be a somehow nicer place. By the way: Göring sniffed tons of coke. Seems to be stress- related...

This is in no way a defence of reckless bankers who indulged in a culture of gambling and greed but we were all part of it - with exceptions obviously. Not many of us were complaining about behaviours that were plain for all to see before the bubble burst, as economic bubbles always do.

Oh- "the big burst" of the bubble, or bubbles lies still ahead. A little bit as the former roman empire: a general overstretch in all directions.
