Studies are winding down slowly, the beauty of Winter is starting to come out, people have started to decorate their homes in all the festive colours.
Awesome food and drink. A warm fire as it rains outside. Perhaps some snow. Classic songs you've heard since you've been a kid. Just chilling out, buying some nice stuff for people and getting some cool gifts in return. Helping out people less fortunate and feeling like you've accomplished something.
I can't think of any other time of year where I can relax so much, or to so unique a backdrop.
Which is strange, because Christmas time is of course when loneliness bites a bit. Fortunately my family are a good bunch, so I guess that's one reason I enjoy it. But I feel like it's just a time when I can forget a little bit about finding romance and just enjoy everything around me.
In fact, I'd go as far as to say that people should just be able to relax like that more often, holding family meals and just being grateful for each others' company. Perhaps when I have a family I'll enforce some kind of "TSM festival" several times a year
