This mind dump is dedicated to this "poem" and that which inspired it.
Here I am, collecting dust.
A old, worn book upon your shelf.
My feeble spine sways with the wind.
My summary page is specked with sin.
My cover is stale and full of holes
And says much about the story told
(Never mind if it is truth or lie,
Neither account would please the eye).
An appearance that leaves one so appalled
That it has occurred to no one at all
That there is still a story behind
This ugly, obscene, wreck of a bind.
A tale of heroes, majestic and strong,
And witches and wizards and mermaid’s love songs,
Of angels and demons and lovely princesses,
Their evil stepsisters with serpentine tresses,
And this tale's ending solely depends
Upon the reader that reads from beginning to end.
I know my happy ending exists--it must!
But for now...here I am...
collecting dust.
