I thought I would post a little fun thread. Short stories of possible signs of attraction by people, dates that didn't go anywhere, things that happened that could of potentially blossomed into a relationship but did not.
The one's that got away. :p

Here is one that was pretty unusual to me.

In college I got to know a woman who was doing the same evening IT course as me. I sat next to her one day to do some work on a computer and we got talking about our interests somehow. It was fairly near the end of the course when I got talking to her and we did not talk a great deal because we both had work to do, most people would not really talk to each other, just get on with their work, but anyway she seemed interested in me and would initiate conversation. She started to greet me when we had class and she would say goodbye and wave goodbye sometimes afterwards, she started to just generally be really friendly towards me and she seemed like a nice person.

On the last day of the course, after class, a couple of us went to a bar for a little while to celebrate our completion of the course and I had to leave before some of the other students, so I said goodbye... Just as I was walking away this woman suddenly shouts to me and asks me to wait for a minute, asked people at the table if anyone had a pen and a bit of paper, she wrote down her number and gave it to me. I left and was pretty surprised by her seemingly sudden reaction to stop me and give me her number in front of the people there.

I gave her a text a few days or a week or so after asking how she was but I got no reply at all for some reason. :club:

Always sort of wondered if she actually liked me in that way a bit, maybe she just saw me as a friend but I would of probably asked her if she wanted to go out somewhere sometime because she seemed nice. Maybe I should of actually just rung her up anyway and asked, but I am terrible at that kind of thing. :p Oh well.

My dad has a home-based business, and for a short while a couple years ago he had this guy about my age working for him. I walked in twice and locked eyes with him briefly. I wouldn't say he was a "one that got away" because I didn't ever pine over him and mostly don't think about him at all, but.. he kinda proved to me that there is someone out there for me. That (and this may be all ********, because it's just my perception) there is an affinity I can share with someone, and without ever even having to speak to him. He made me believe in love at first sight without actually having to fall in love with him, basically.

Since that my dreams of true love and all that have felt a little more real. :D

I took some salsa dancing classes (great fun, by the way!) and there was a man at one class who wasn't asking anyone to dance but kept looking at me like he was on the verge of asking. He never did ask and I eventually left and didn't see him again :(

Or maybe my zipper was down and he was thinking of a way to tell me :)
