Hello.

I'm just a high school kid from California. And not only that, but a high school loner. I struggle to fit in, and my shyness doesn't help at all.

I'm sick of shyness. Why me? I ask. It seems like while the other kids are enjoying the high school life hanging out with friends and being socially successful, I'm stuck at home with no friends to talk to or hang out.

I joined here because I wanted help. Even if my shyness isn't cured, at least I'll have others to talk to.

p.s. now that i think of it, the tone of my post is too serious... dont be surprised if 1 minute i'm all serious and the next im informal/fun/hyper

whats up, im new too. i definitely get your high school situation. i was the same way. i didnt really talk to mnay people and i didnt hang out with any of them outside of school except for one friend. i was a really shy loner too and still am.

Hello, and welcome to the forum. I knew a lot of people in school. I just didn't care to be friends with them all. It was a selected few that I became close with. Some people though just wanted to be my friend because they wanted to impress my brother and his friends, which of course, I didn't care about. It's not bad to just have a close friend or two. I much rather preferred it than to be super popular and best friends with everyone.
