Hi

I'm 32 years old with a 2 year old son who is my world! I have had trouble with getting over my shyness for as long as I can remember. I'm not able to relate to people because they judge me before we develop a relationship. I've tried everything from seeming outgoing (I'm not) to killing people with kindness. Nothing seems to work. People have always said I'm too nice. I don't have to heart to be mean to anyone but I get a lot of cruelty thrown at me for no reason. So it's hard to open up to new people and make friends. I hope I can make some friends here. This forum seems to have a lot of people going through the same thing. Glad I found it.

Hi Rainy, don't worry it's not you... all of society have become shut-ins they only talk to people they can get something out of. Be glad they don't see you as a resource, they will suck you dry.

All the people that don't fit their mold are herded into chat rooms like this, because they get gratification from controlling what they don't use as food. Nice to meet you... There are some people here that are likable and I hope you make some real friends. There are some people that do still care.

We are just as freaked out as you, and understand exactly how you feel. If you ever need someone to talk to, I am Daniel. Welcome.

Hey Rainy, welcome to the forum. Aww 2-year-old son? How adorable!!

I kinda can relate.. in a way. I was super shy before I actually forced myself to break out of it. With my job. Well I just had to learn not to care much of what other people thought of me and pretend that I'm awesome. About people spewing cruelty at you for no reason, I don't know, people are people.. and a lot of them suck out there.. I wouldn't take it personally - I've accepted the fact that there would at least be one person to try spoil my day once at least and I'm cool with that cos I'm not gonna let it (as best as I can, of course, we all have our down days).

Hi Rainy. Welcome. There are definately people here who understand. Seems people like to control and when they can't control they have no use for you and alot of times with women I think jealousy plays a big role. I'm also new and like you glad I found his forum.
