How to delete a post?

I replied in the let's see the pet faces thread. I want to delete my post so I no longer get notifications from other people's pets pics

Oh crap, I forgot about those. Did we always have those or are they newish?


Anyway, click on your name in the upper right corner, then go to preferences, then uncheck what you don't want.
